Tough ride today. Lots of wind along I-10 through Phoenix and Tucson. Two hands on the wheel and staying out of the way of the trucks. The good news is it was only a 220-mile drive and we arrived at our next stop Wilcox, AZ. about 3:30 pm. Still windy when we arrived, a nice KOA RV Park however, with lots of amenities.
We will be here for two nights. Maybe some sightseeing tomorrow, depending how we feel. Goal 1 - sleep in. Maybe breakfast at the park cafe, then about a 30-minute drive to the Chiricahua National Monument, The last stronghold of Cochise and the Apache Nation.
