Well, spring training appears to be getting less likely by the day. Not a lot of compromise by either the players or the owners. Money is the issue and there doesn't seem to be much concern for the fans, what impact the lack of an agreement will have on the future of the game and a belief, I guess, that the fans will always be there and come back, attend games, buy overpriced beer, team apparel and trinkets. And maybe even diehard fans will drive 3,000 miles to watch spring training. We'll see how it all plays out.
Regardless, there are still plenty of things to do here, many that we have done before and are worth doing again and new things to checkout.
The highlight today was getting haircuts. There is a shop close by that we have gone to ever since we started coming here. Carrie remembers us and does a good job every time.
More relaxation at the RV topped off the day. The weather remains warm and dry with record high temperatures forecast for the weekend.
I grilled chicken for dinner, and we had fresh local strawberries for dessert.
