The Phillies played the Detroit Tigers today. It was an interesting lineup. There were a series of relief pitchers for the Phillies who each pitched one inning into the later innings when several minor league pitchers took over to finish the game. The initial relief pitchers were mostly established pitchers who will be on the team. The majority of the starting position players were the best Phillies prospects, maybe a year or sooner away from the big league. The last couple of innings were played by minor leaguers who will not be on the major league roster this year but who are getting valuable experience in game situations against a high level of competition. Everyone played pretty well, and they won 7-2. Weather remains warm and sunny.
It was dinner in the RV tonight and resting up for more baseball tomorrow. The Toronto Blue jays again.
