The Phillies played the Atlanta Braves today.
A dry cold front came through the area last night. There was no rain, but it got a little colder and the winds shifted to the NW. Consequently, we had a pretty good breeze blowing through the upper level where we sit. The temperature was around 70 degrees but a 10-15 mph wind in the shade made it seem a lot colder. Always prepared however, I went back out to the truck and got warmer clothes. By the end of a long game most of the fans in our area who were not as well prepared either moved to a lower level in the sun or left early.
It was a crazy, sometimes sloppy game that the Phillies won 12-11 in the bottom of the 9th inning with a three-run homer after giving up 8 runs to Atlanta in the 8th and 9th innings.
After the game we drove over to Clearwater Beach and had dinner at Frenchy's Rockaway Grill, one of our favorite beachfront restaurants in the area.
No baseball tomorrow, so we will get the carpets cleaned in the RV, rest up a bit, run a few errands and relax.
