Spring Training 2019 - Day 20

The first home game of spring training for the Phillies was today.  We drove down from Palm Harbor, about 9 miles north of Clearwater where the games ae played.  We are staying here for another night until our site at the RV park in Oldsmar, a little closer to the stadium, is ready tomorrow.

It seems like we just left - everything looks about the same here , the ushers and staff we have gotten to know are mostly still here and the weather is good.  Alas, the Phillies lost today to the Pittsburgh Pirates.  It was a close game but still a  loss with a lot of rookies and non-roster players playing which is typical early in the spring training season.

Before the game, we had breakfast at Lenny's, a Philadelphia-style restaurant near the park where the faithful gather for breakfast before each game. It is a true slice of Philadelphia - the menu, waitresses, clientele and ambience.
