The Phillies played the Detroit Tigers today and won again. The early spring training games usually feature a lot of rookies and non-roster players trying to make the team. The first two games we have seen have featured a lot of first team position players and mostly all young pitchers. It is too early to evaluate anything about this year's team, but the Phillies have a good number of young pitchers who should do well as they refine their skills in the minor leagues the next few years.
We picked up a few groceries on the way back to the RV and then ate dinner there. No home game tomorrow, so we will continue getting settled in and getting caught up with the inevitable paperwork that follows you even on vacation.
